Walleye Fishing

Most anglers associate Northwest Ontario with walleye.
Canyon Lake is no exception. It is true that 1 to 2 pound
fish are the average, but every year we have our share of
trophy fish caught up to 13 pounds.

Nothing beats a fresh shore lunch or frying up a mess of
fish for your evening meal. We do encourage catch and
release of our larger females as they provide the majority
of our spawn. Maybe that is one of the reasons we have
some of the larger Walleye in our area. We are happy to
report that our numbers are up and we are experiencing
great Walleye fishing!

We will do our best to put you on fish. You can count on
John to explain patterns and locations to make your
fishing trip memorable and successful!
