family. You may catch them in a variety of ways using
everything from artificial bait to slip bobbers and live bait.
Smallmouth show up in good numbers from mid-June on
with July being the best month.

Canyon Lake is rated as excellent for Smallies and
numbers our are high. Our fish are a bit on the chunky
side with a 12 inch Smallie tipping the scales at a little
over a pound. If you are looking for action, this is your fish.
